Enyimba FC bus got attacked by Armed Robbers at Kogi State.

A bus carrying Nigeria professional football league champions, Enyimba FC, has been attacked by armed robbers as the team travelled to Kaduna for pre-season engagement.
Players and officials of the People’s Elephants, who last season won a historic seventh Nigerian title, are said to have been stripped of their possessions in the North Central state of Kogi. However, there were no reported physical injuries to anyone during the incident.
The Aba-based club confirmed the incident via Twitter: “We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour.”
They went further to confirm that nobody was injured in the process: “Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables.”

It has been a stormy period for Nigerian football as former NFF protocol officer Ibrahim Abubakar was shot dead by armed robbers at his Abuja home last week, while the wife of Super Eagles midfielder Fegor Ogude was kidnapped, and later released after he paid a N1.3m ransom.
